I have a blog based upon on the same information you discuss and would really like to have
you share some stories/information. I know my readers would value your work.
If you are even remotely interested, feel free to send me an e-mail.

Ditto to your comment Benjamin Governale. YES!!!
If an actor senses that casting feels like this is a waste of their time or for non commercial auditions, we’ve prepared our work, have made our choices and really dove deep into it, only to walk into the room and be told to, “just do it this way!”, we will never be able to perform to the best of our ability; to show you what we are really capable of. To perform in a way that showcases what years of training and honing our craft can produce. More than ever, casting, producers and directors are immersed in their technical devices while actors are in the room auditioning. Not only is it totally rude, but it is deflating and after a while, starts to breed insecurity in an actor that might not have had it, before. We need support and openness from casting so that we are able to bring our best work in to your room. Yes, there are some really shitty, untrained, non disciplined, crazy and unprepared people out there, who call themselves actors even though they are not, but please do not lump us all into the same category.
Please give each and every one of us the same, unbiased, attentive, fair shot we at least deserve when we walk trough your door. ♥️

By this I mean ,when a project or a part is ” offered” to an established actor ,She/He has an immediate advantage ,in that He /She knows /feels that receptiveness ,that flows from the auditors like a waterfall ,therefore making it easier to bring forth thier unique offering of talent with conidence and the freedom to explore ,expand and create freely ,thats where the real magic is unearthed !
However Versus the up and coming talent, that may not be afforded that mutual confidence by thier collaborators. As an actor one hopes that the collaborators are there to …with thier artistic contribution to ,bring forth the ,Underground well spring of talent .Perhaps ,in other words the actor is but one part of the total artistic creation ,the director holds the celluloid paintbrush ,so to speak . Of course there has to be at least a potential ” diamond in the rough ” with the talent auditoning , but there also must be a confidence and freedom on the directors part ,to bring forth a new and unique creation .however in this ” thing of Ours ” we know all too well it is Buisness , and taking chances and having confidence in a virtual unkown is risky ! So have that confidence and freedom ,and if you start with the potential right collaborators , the finished Diamond ,may shine as bright or brighter than what has been cut before . In short it is mutual confidence akin to knowing you have a great partner enhancing and building on what you are doing in any given circumstance ,i.e. knowing someone has your back so to speak . All this being said ,for the most part I feel that receptiveness with auditors in general , but at the end of the day in reality , most will take the safe way home

This is a terrific article on being prepared. I am a SAG-AFTRA member since 2015, & I have contributed to a commercial as a Bubbles Performer. I have supreme confidence in my abilities & I knew ve what I do.
