Stars can get away with flubbing lines and needing retakes; we cannot. No matter how few you’ve been given, learn your lines by speaking them OUT LOUD. Learn how they feel in the mouth and on the tongue, and how they sound. After they’re absolutely word and thought perfect and you know you can’t possibly make a mistake, it’s time to learn your lines. Then do it some more. Your responsibility is to know your lines, no matter how boring you find it practising them.
BTW, did I mention it’s important to know your lines?

I am currently at “co-star level”. Clearly you’re point was for one to use this “guest star” label for clarification purposes in various situations. Are there any scenarios you may be able to foresee where labeling myself as a guest-star would be off putting or come back to bite me. It’s taken a great deal of research to educate myself on appropriate set behavior. I’d hate to misstep now, as recurring so-star roles are just becoming my norm. Thanks again for your valuable guidance. It’s so very appreciated. All my best to you. - Sam😊]]> In reply to Benton Jennings.

Wonderful intel, Benton! Thanks for the time and effort it took to offer all of those points and scenarios. When new to set, I find that I’ve got an overly sensitive internal perception (I’m paranoid😂) of the behaviors and reactions from those on set. I am currently at “co-star level”. great info to share..
I thought or assumed the PAs and ADs carry a call sheet with them and at least from what I seen on mine, you’re role is listed and broken down in detail.

I was the Monsignor marrying Billy (Ray Romano) Buffalino’s daughter in the Irishman. I had memorized my lines and delivered them as they wished, however, Mr. Scorsese realized it was distracting from Mr. Roman. After a short conversation with Robert DeNiro, he decided to do the scene without dialogue, and De Niro would narrate it. Politely, Mr. Scorcese asked me to go through the scene without dialogue. I did as he asked. When they “wrapped” he came up to the altar as Wardrobe was removing my vesments and shook my hand while thanking me for my cooperation. I replied, “I thank you Mr. Scorsese for the opportunity.” Sincere humility works for me. I take nothing for granted.
