New Year, New Goals! Welcome back to the first actor activities roundup of 2023, where we recommend everything from empowering exercises to the best entertainment events for each day of the month. Here are 31 carefully-curated activities that will set you up for a fulfilling new year ahead, and ensure your resolutions are met.

  2. 12. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck (documentary) in theaters January 4: Best-selling self help author Mark Manson brings his runaway hit book to the screen in an effort to help viewers live a better life.
  3. 13. Ginny & Georgia season 2 (TV series) streams on Netflix January 5: G-squared returns for a second installment of Netflix’s hit mommy-daughter dramedy.
  4. 14. M3GAN (horror) in theaters on January 6: As if there weren’t enough reasons to be wary of technology, meet M3GAN: a lifelike artificial intelligence doll that’s been programmed to be a child’s best pal. Of course, things soon take a creepy turn in this freaky thriller.
  5. 15. If These Walls Could Sing (documentary) streams on Disney+ January 6: Join legends like Paul McCartney as his daughter director Mary McCartney gives audiences a peek at the world’s most iconic recording studio.
  6. 16. That 90s Show (TV series) streams on Netflix January 19: They’re back! Like waaaaay back. The highly-anticipated That 70s Show reboot sees Leia Forman, the 15-year-old daughter of Eric Forman and Donna Pinciotti summer with her grandparents Kitty and Red. The blast from the past drips with nostalgia and lots of familiar faces!
  7. 17. Alice, Darling (mystery) in theaters January 20: Anna Kendrick submits whats been dubbed one of her greatest performances of all time in the title role as woman pushed to the brink.
  8. 18. The Last of Us (TV series) streams on HBO January 23: The highly-anticipated drama translates Neil Druckmann’s acclaimed 2013 video game to the screen. Co-conceived by Druckmann and Emmy-winning “Chernobyl” creator Craig Mazin, the show flaunts personal drama and epic thrills in a post-apocalyptic America swarming with cannibalistic mutants.
  9. 19. Poker Face (TV series) streams on Peacock January 26: If Rian Johnson’s recent Knives Out sequel left you wanting more quirky chaos, you’re in luck! Natasha Lyonne (Russian Doll) finds herself in the middle of a mystery in this episodic detective tale.
  10. 20. Shotgun Wedding (action rom-com) streams on Prime January 27: Jennifer Lopez continues her rom-com parade opposite Josh Duhamel in this wild ride which sees a wedding party taken hostage.

One of my favorites is Buddy Beat Light, which makes it easier to read without straining your eyes and even has bluetooth capabilities!

  1. 27. After a brief and rehabilitative hiatus, the Golden Globes returns to NBC for its 80th edition on January 10th.
  2. 28. Heavy-hitters Nathan Lane, Danny Burstein and Zoë Wanamaker head back to Broadway in Pictures From Home, a new play from Sharr White, starting previews at Studio 54 on January 10.
  3. 29. The Critics Choice Awards will honor what they dub the finest in cinematic achievement on January 15th. Hosted by Chelsea Handler, the ceremony hopes to gain big viewership numbers on The CW.
  4. 30. Monday, January 16th is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. There are many ways to commemorate this from attending a local event to watching an MLK documentary.
  5. 31. We also hope you’ll join us in recognizing Holocaust Remembrance Day on Friday, January 27.
