Welcome back to your actor activities roundup, where we recommend everything from empowering exercises to the best entertainment events for each day of the month. From Valentine’s Day merriment to Black History Month commemorations, enjoy these 3 carefully-curated activities that will fill your heart with love and your eyes with entertainment this February. Why 30? Although February has 29 days this year, we couldn’t help but add a bonus activity.

8. Stage and screen legend Chita Rivera passed away at 91 on January 30. Celebrate the triple-threat’s legacy by watching some of her greatest performances.

9. Origin (film) now playing in theaters: Ava DuVernay’s moving masterpiece captures the heart of New York Times Bestseller Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents. See how Isaleb Willkerson (exceptionally brought to life by Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor) crafted her record-breaking book, which is being hailed as required reading for humanity.

Argylle (action film) races onto Apple TV February 2: If you’re in the mood for a fun flick with a star-studded cast, tune in to see Bryce Dallas Howard as a reclusive author whose latest book begins to eerily mirror real-world events in real time. Henry Cavill, Dua Lipa, Sam Rockwell, Catherine O’Hara, Samuel L. Jackson, Ariana DeBose, Bryan Cranston and more powerhouse talent add to the allure.

11. Lisa Frankestein (dark comedy film) creeps into theaters February 9: Zelda Williams’ directorial debut brings a comedic (and teased hair) twist to the classic Frankenstein tale. Go back to the 80s when gothic teen Lisa (Kathryn Newton) accidentally revives a Victorian corpse (Cole Sprouse) out of loneliness.

12. Suncoast (drama film) hits Hulu on February 9: Navigating the challenges of caring for her brother alongside her audacious mother (Laura Linney), a teenager (Nico Parker) finds an unexpected connection with an eccentric activist amidst, joining forces to protest one of the most landmark medical cases of all time.

13. Madame Web (superhero film) swinging into theaters February 14: Based on the Marvel Comics, Dakota Johnson headlines as Cassandra Webb, a clairvoyant who can peer into different dimensions. Sydney Sweeney, Adam Scott, Isabela Merced and Celeste O’Connor round out the cast of this female-powered blockbuster.

14. Bob Marley: One Love (biopic) strums onto screens February 14: Get lost in the rhythmic beats of Reinaldo Marcus Green’s directorial masterpiece. This biographical music-pumping drama is a soul-stirring look at the rollercoaster life of the legendary and beloved reggae singer-songwriter Bob Marley (Kingsley Ben-Adir).

15. Drive-Away Dolls (comedy film) hits the road: Join hailed writer-director Ethan Coen on a hilarious romp trip. Fasten your seatbelts as two best friends on the brink embark on an impromptu road trip to Tallahassee, only to be entangled in a group of inept criminals.

16. Ordinary Angels (drama film) soars into theaters February 23: Based on the remarkable true story of a hairdresser (Hilary Swank) who rallies an entire community to assist a widowed father in saving the life of his critically ill young daughter. Have tissues ready!

Wellness Activities:

17. February actor’s affirmation: “In February, I am a creative force. Each audition is my chance to shine, bringing me closer to my artistic goals. I embrace the journey with confidence and passion, ready to leave my mark on every stage and screen.”

18. First month of 2024 is in the books! Take a moment to reflect on a career goal you achieved or activated, an acting lesson you learned and perhaps what most inspired you creatively.

19. As we enter the new year, February is a great time to explore new depths of your craft. Give yourself a free and safe space to step outside your comfort zone and try a different acting technique or skill set. Have you always wanted to sing or dance? Do you tend to play comedic characters and feel a pang to get into drama? Do something to challenge yourself creatively this month! Keeping creative on your own is a great way to improve wellbeing.

20. For Valentine’s Day 2024, show yourself some love. We challenge you to write down and expand upon three unique things that you love about yourself as an actor.

21. February is Black History Month. Please join us in celebrating Black creatives this month and beyond by supporting Black artists.

22. The 66th Grammy Awards will rock CBS/ Paramount+ on February 4, boasting new categories, performances by icons like Joni Mitchell and host Trevor Noah.

23. The 76th annual Directors Guild of America Awards ceremony will be held on February 10.

24. Talk about a power lunch! February 12, will mark this year’s Oscars nominees luncheon, where A-listers will mingle and snack in anticipation of the big day.

25. The 2024 British Academy Film Awards (a.k.a – the BAFTAs) will honor – or should we say honour – the best British and international contributions to film on February 18, with host David Tennant at the helm.

26. Keep your eyes peeled for the 2024 Writers Guild of America nominations on February 21.

27. Though it may not be televised, the Oscars Scientific and Technical Awards ceremony on February 23, will be an important commemoration to the talents whose discoveries and innovations have contributed in significant and lasting ways to motion pictures.

28. Friendly reminder for SAG-AFTRA members that final voting for the 2024 SAG Awards is due February 23 at 12 noon PT. You better fly through those screeners! Our community celebrates each other with the 30th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony on February 24. The triennial ceremony will air on Netflix.

29. The 2024 Film Independent Spirit Awards will uplift the indie community on February 25.

30. The Producers Guild of America Awards ceremony will spotlight producing talents on February 26.
